A new triennial property evaluation role has been submitted by the MRC des Laurentides. It took effect as of January 1, 2019. The average increase in the new role is 1.13% for the Ville de Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts and 1.16% for the agglomeration.
Any taxpayer who believes that the new property evaluation is incorrect must contact the evaluation department at the MRC des Laurentides by calling 819-425-5555 ext.1000. Even if a taxpayer requests an administrative revision to the new evaluation, in accordance with the instructions printed on the tax bill, he or she must at all times respect the amounts and due dates for payments.
It is essential to remember that the taxpayer who requests an administrative revision does so in regard to the new value of the property because he or she believes that the value does not reflect the market value of the property and not because of the change in the tax bill.
